I work on application security at Trendyol. Mostly DevSecOps, Kubernetes and cloud security. I write here about things I run into, and put the small tools I build on GitHub.
What actually eats disk space on a dev Mac, two bugs I only found by testing the cleanup for real, and the skill that came out of it.
Reproducing the GitHub Actions review bypass, why it worked, and the residual variant the official fix does not touch.
Why I finally started writing things down.
A Claude Code skill that scans a macOS machine for reclaimable disk space and cleans it up safely: read-only scan, tiered classification with a stated reason for each item, and nothing deleted without explicit approval. Came out of clearing 43GB of "System Data" off my own Mac.
A helper that splits oversized JSON files into smaller chunks. I wrote it after hitting one too many files that would not fit in memory or in a tool that expected something reasonable.
